Resin Bonded Surfaces

Resin Bonded Surfaces

If you’re seeking the attractive textured look of a gravel driveway, but with minimal scatter or mess, then resin bound stone or resin bonded stone is the answer.

The surface is created by laying beautiful natural stone on top of a sturdy tarmac or concrete layer, and bonding it tightly in place with resin to prevent scattering. This gives the dual benefit of a tough, strong base layer along with the elegance of the natural stone layer which resembles the textured beauty of gravel.

There is a slight difference between the two options, which are:

  • Resin-bound surfaces: The resin is laid on top of the prepared surface, and then the natural stone is scattered on top where it is held in place by the resin layer.
  • Resin-bonded surfaces: The stone is mixed with the resin, before being evenly spread over the prepared surface. This technique allows for inclusion of patterns, company names or school emblems, making it a great choice for commercial applications.

Despite awful weather conditions they worked non stop, thoughtfully put down protective covers on the floor and were polite and friendly at all times.

Standard of the work is impressive and at the end of the day leave the working area safe and tidy – much appreciated.
